Gillardeau® special oysters
Reference since 1898
THE HISTORY OF GILLARDEAU
Founded in 1898 by Henri Gillardeau in the Marennes-Oléron basin, Maison Gillardeau is renowned for the quality of its oysters, cultivated through a centuries-old family commitment.
In response to growing worldwide demand for its special oysters, the company has opened a number of oyster beds since 2004 in pristine European locations. The Gillardeau® Special Oysters oysters are bred in the rich waters of Ireland, Normandy and Portugal for optimum growth, fleshiness and taste. To guarantee this quality to the finest tables and combat counterfeiting, the laser engraving of its oysters has consolidated the brand and confirmed Maison Gillardeau as a world reference.
In constant search of innovation, a modern food truck “La Marcelle“has joined the adventure, as well as a sales and tasting outlet on the Île de Ré “La Cabanajam“.
